INGREDIENTS
1. First, add one (1)
cup of CLARITY. Make sure your team
goals are clearly defined. A team works
best when everyone understands the purpose.
2. Add another HEAP of great communication (sorry, I am from
the South). Good communication includes
active listening (listening for understanding), the use of “I” statements
instead of “You” statements, and patience.
3. Two cups of
balanced participation4. A dash of Established Ground Rules
Mix well one (1) cup of clarity and the other Heap of good
communication skills, let simmer. Add
dash of established ground rules; then stir.
Finally, put your two (2) cups of balanced participation in the mix. Set temperature, let cook for the entirety of
the TEAM.
WHAT ARE YOUR INGREDIENTS???
I learned to eliminate the YOU word many years ago. It is so incriminating.
